Most sights are far apart. From Lihue, Poipu is roughly 25–30 minutes by car, Hanalei about 45–50 minutes and Waimea Canyon about an hour to 75 minutes (Hawaii Guide, kauai.com). Boat and air tours are booked as one trip; some land tours include hotel pickup, so check the listing before you rent.
Different views, not better or worse. From the water you see the sea caves and the cliffs from below, and you can snorkel on many boats; from the air you also see Waimea Canyon and the waterfalls inland. Flights start at about €138 for the “Air Tour” listings and about €298 for helicopters; the boat tours here start at about €102 for a sunset catamaran and run to about €302 for the full-day Niihau trip.
Only part of it. The Kalalau Trail starts at the end of the road at Haena State Park; people who do not live in Hawaii need an advance reservation to enter the park, and going beyond Hanakapiai needs a camping permit (Hawaii DLNR). Check the DLNR pages for the current rules before you plan it.
The listing describes snorkeling at Lehua Crater off Niihau, with breakfast and lunch included on a full-day boat trip; it does not describe going ashore. Niihau is privately owned.
The catalog on this site runs from about €24 (a one-hour yoga class) to well over €1,000 (private tours and a deep sea fishing charter); the median offer is about €168 per person (our data of 5 November 2026). Air tours, boat trips and luau are mostly between €100 and €300.
The active volcanoes belong to Hawaii Island, the Road to Hana to Maui and Pearl Harbor to Oahu. Day trips from Oahu to Kauai start on another island and are not listed here.
